A childish schoolyard pattern has emerged in the Clinton’s continuing effort to smear Democrat front runner Barack Obama. “Surrogates” (if you can call husband and former President Bill Clinton a surrogate) smear Senator Obama. Then when the Obama campaign reacts, as the Clintons hope it will do, the Clintons feign outrage. It happened when Bill and Geraldine Ferraro played the race card and it has happened again as a result of Bill Clinton questioning Obama’s patriotism. The Obama campaign pointed out the obvious comparison to the tactics of Joe McCarthy. Now the Clinton team screams about the outrage of a former president being compared to McCarthy.
If Bill Clinton does not want to be compared to Joe McCarthy he should stop acting like him. And Hillary should grow up and stop with the schoolyard nonsense. Obama has elevated the standards it is time Hillary elevated hers.

Barack Obama can not out Clinton the Clintons. He needs to continue talking about the issues that affect the people: the Iraq War and the Economy. He can not win against them if he gets on their level. Yes we can change, has the potential to be more than a slogan if Obama continues to run the campaign he promised us.
