Michael Kinsley, at TIME, has an excellent commentary on Sarah Palin’s economics in Sarah Palin’s Alaskonomics. Kinsley dissects the Palin as Reformer fantasy and pulls no punches in doing so:

Palin delivered her Rove talking points as expected but she did not come clean.
Earmarks? She went after them.
Bridge to nowhere? She fought for it and KEPT the spent the money anyway.
Taxes? She raised them.
Palin should have confessed and told the truth last night. Instead she allowed her false “reformer” image to stand while slinging mud [...]

Wow, the McCain-Bush-Rove team goes ballistic when someone doesn’t wear an American flag lapel pin. Jake Tapper at ABC reports that Sarah Palin was a member of an Alaska secessionist party in the 90’s. Karl Rove could lose a lot of weight leading the GOP tap dancing on this one.
